Re: Henry Wimber 1830 - 1927 Germany - Iowa
Notes from a professional genealogist (not me): "In the Catholic Parish in Selm [Germany] I found the 1830 birth of Heinrich Wimber to parents Franz Heinrich Wimber/Wimberg and Elisabeth Schüssler of the town of Tenschen in the Selm Parish. The parents married there on 25 April 1826. Heinrich had the following siblings: Maria Franziska Gertrud, b. 11 Jan 1827; [another] Heinrich, b.17 Oct 1828 (apparently died young); Catharina Elisabeth, b. 7 May 1834; Maria Catharina, b. 6 Sep 1837; and Johann Andreas, b. 9 Apr 1841."
I'd really like to trace a contemporary Jacob Wimber, b. 1838 in Germany, naturalized 27 Sep 1868 in Allegheny County, PA; married Rosanna Slavin (from Ireland), maybe in Pagosa Springs, CO; died 13 Dec 1916 in Oakmont, Plum Township, Allegheny County, PA. Despite this information, we can't find Jacob's parents or tie him to Heinrich/Henry, who family lore says is his brother.
