I am trying to find out any information on one of my distant relatives who went to Texas from South Carolina with some brothers and sons, and they operated a tavern near San Felipe with a man named Johnson in Sept 1835. There is a brief reference made about them in William C Davis's book, The Three Roads to The Alamo. There is no first name given in the book, however, the Winburns from SC my relatives were named, William, David, Cord(y) Dempsey, John and Jesse.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
