Randall, I can't find an email address for you and I hope this will reach you.I also have a painting by a Windmayer - however the story in our family is that it was done by Alexander's one-armed carpenter brother. There were 4 paintings in my grandmother's house - we got one. There was a collie picture, a still life of a lemon half, book, glass of lemonade and red draperies in the background plus two others. There was also a wooden footstool made by the brother.Alexander married Margaretha Ehart Hutmacher. She had two daughters by Jacob Ehart, her first husband. My father always talked about Karl Stemple who worked for the Sheaffer Pen Company and was reported to be the developer of the desk set.My grandmother talked quite frequently about "Aunt Ida".
