Sandra:I don't have a lot of info. on Silvia Windom (Windham). Her father, Benjamin, was married to Elizabeth Ponder, but no documented proof. They lived in a section of Sumter District known as Tare Coat Swamp, in the Fork of Black River along with several of Benjamin's brothers.Benjamin's parents were Charles and Anne Turbeville Windham of Darlington District.I recently found the location of Tare Coat Swamp on an old railroad map from the 1880s.It was near present day Plowden Mills.Silvia's brother Charles died in 1843, leaving two sons, William age 2, Richard an infant, and their mother Susannah.Susannah remarried Joseph Montgomery and moved with him and the children to Monroe Co., ALA. I am now in contact with a researcher in Miss. who might have found Charles' son Richard.I don't have any info. on the the daughters Silvia and Lucey.I would appreciate any that you will share.WES
