Hi Richard; Thanks for the note and nice to hear from you. I have been feeling great and have been doing some heavy work in the yard, for my wife...building gardens and cutting down trees.
I got in touch with Merwin Almy in Oregon, and he sent me a few pages of Almy/Slocum information which also does Mercy's line...Mercy 6; Joseph 5; Job 4; William 3; Christopher 2; William 1.
If you would like photocopies of these, let me know.
Then I found Raymond Wing's site which is unbelievable. He starts
1. ? Wingius... married Grant
2. Mathew Wing(E0(Wynge).....Mary ?
3. John Wing (E)(Wynge)....Deborah Bachiler
4. Stephen Wing (E).....Sarah Briggs
5. Mathew Wing....Elizabeth Mott Ricketson
6. Joseph Wing ...Catherine Cornell
7. John Wing....Jemima Shepherd (Davis)
8. John Wing.....Mercy Almy
He also mentions the old John Wing house; Holder Slocum; Christopher Holder; Slocum's Island...etc.
Mentions that Elisha Wing who lived in Wareham , sister Sarah, married Robert Gifford.
Stephen Win's will to Sarah , Abigail and Jeremiah Gifford.
Etc. If you haven't seen the site try;

One of these days I would really like to swing over to meet you.Most probably, the older people still living in this area, namely the smaller towns like Dartmouth, Westport, Little Compton, Tiverton are related to one another.
Thanks again. By the way...if you ever have intentions on producing a book from all your information, I'll introduce you to Ray at the Town Bookbindery. He does great work and is reasonably priced. I have seen some of the books which he produced, not to mention the Slocum book which he re-produced, and they are all excellent. For what it might be worth.........
Regards...Randy
