What a surprise to hear from you. What family are you searching for?I have been trying to go back several generations on the Winterburn line, but I have come to a standstill.Hoping for that one link to get started again. My dad passed away about a year and half ago.It wouldn't do you any good to call Hank.Joyce is correct.I believe he is completely deaf.Probably sending him a letter would be your best bet.LaFola is in a memory care unit.I have not been to see her since her last move.As you may not know, my sister Barb and I are living together.Barb is suffering from tongue cancer. She has had quite an ordeal with many surgeries and is struggling to keep ahead of the pain on a daily basis.By the end of the day it's all I can do to fall in bed and get up the next day.Keeping your head above water seems to be a daily routine.Thank goodness for Joyce and Cindy as they are meeting some of Hanks' basic needs. He is still living on the farm and I can't imagine how he is making it.I know Cindy and Joyce are his one lifeline.Barb and I certainly would not be able to do it.LaFola is in Golden Years Home in Elkhorn. The last time I saw her, she was in the hospital after the fall and was back in her younger years with Grandpa and Grandma.I think she knew me, but it was in and out of coherency. You have to remeber she is 97.I keep thinking each birthday will be her last, but she will probably outlive me!
Great hearing from you.Let me know what family name you are working on and I'll keep in mind with my searches.
