Re: Wiseheart Ky and IL
I'm very new to genealogy, but came across your message in response to Ms. Purcell's post.
It turns out I'm related to you, at least that's how it appears.See, my great grandmother was Adeline Wiseheart, b. June 16, 1883 in Oskaloosa, IL.She was the daughter of Gilly Ann Craig and George H. Wiseheart (b. 11/23/1842 in Iola, IL and d. 1/31/1941 in Sullivan, IL).He was the son of Richard Stephen Wiseheart b. 7/21/1813 who married Nancy A. Purcell on August 20, 1839.(Perhaps that's the connection with Bettye Purcell who posted the message earlier.)And, as you know, Richard S. Wiseheart was the son of John Wiseheart b. 7/21/1770 and married to Catharine Camp.
Incidentally, it may interest you to know that Gilly Ann Craig, who was married to George Wiseheart, has connections with Abraham Lincoln which I am currently working on reconstructing.
In case you are interested, Adeline Wiseheart married August Esterbrook Bostic on October 10, 1907.Their son (my grandfather), George Edwin Bostic, was born February 16, 1920 in Bend, Oregon. He later married Viola Marie Kribs on October 10, 1944.They later had my mother Darlene Marie Bostic on November 16, 1946 and I came along July 15, 1970 in Aberdeen, MD.
