"OBITUARY - MRS. EDITH E. WEDEKIND"
Mrs. Edith E. Wedekind, wife of M. Wedekind, passed away at the family home on Mountain avenue, this morning at 10:55 o'clock after an illness of over a year.
Mrs. Wedekind was born at Pawpaw, Mich., March 4th, 1860. She was married to Mr. Wedekind, January 2, 1887 at Ketchem, [sp.] Idaho. They lived in various places in Idaho until 1906 when they moved to Seattle, Washington, then came to Pomona in 1910 and have since made their home here.
Mrs. Wedekind is survived by her husband, and one brother, Wilfred Huntington, Mackay, Idaho. Mrs. Olive Roberti of Los Angeles is a niece and Mrs. Alma Landphere of Pomona is a cousin and there are other distant relatives. She was a member of the Heliotrope Rebekah lodge of this city and also the W.B.A.
Funeral services will be held at the Todd & Reeves chapel, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Rev. Foster of Upland, an old friend of the family in Idaho, will officiate at the service and the Rebekah lodge will also take part. Later the body will be taken by Mr. Wedekind over the Southern Pacific Tuesday afternoon at 3:44 for Chico, California, where the burial will be made.
