I just began researching my last name and came upon this web site.I began looking at the RootsWeb web site and discovered that Lulu and my grandfather, Charles Lewis, were brother and sister. However, my dad, Allan M. Wolfkill, one of Charles' children, passed away in 1990.My dad wasn't fond of his family so he didn't talk much about the Wolfkill's.His father, Charles, passed away when he was 18 so I never knew my grandfather. All I was told is that my grandfather was adopted by the Wolfkill family so we aren't "true Wolfkill's".There is a huge "feed and seed" (I don't think that's what they call it anymore but the supplies for ranchers and farmers)in Monroe, WA that is supposedly owed by the Wolfkill's and they are supposed to be cousins to me.This is just one of the few stories I've been told over the years.Could this be Lulu's family?I know you posted your question over a year ago and you may not ever see this reply, but just in case you or any other Wolfkill sees it, I too would love to hear more about my family history.I'm still living in Washington state near Seattle.I am a teacher and am constantly asked if my name is Native American or German.I never know what to say because I've been told different stories.Seeing this website, though, has answered many questions.I think I will be retutning to it more often.
Thanks again and I hope I was some help to you, Jenny?!
