Hi!I couldn't help notice a similarity in Wolter names. So, thought I would throw a few things at you and see if anything matches up.I am still searching for the Old Country German family connections.

My great, great, Grandfather was Johann Freiderich Wolter (I believe that may have been his father's name as well)he was from Pankow, Germany (lived in Gahlenbeck / Mechlenburg Kastorf) b. about 1814 or 15 - (his mother's name may have been Christine Caroline) d. 1890 in Beecher, IL - married Sophia ? b. 1813 in Fahlgast, Prussia (so he must have been in Prussia at some point) she d. 1874 in Beecher IL - Johann immigrated to America (on a Ship called Elbe from the port of Hamburg) in 1854 with two sons and wife (sons were Heinrich W. b. 1850 in Saxony Prignitz, Prussia (my great Grandfather) & Wilhelm b. 1847 in Prignitz, Prussia they had 2 more children in America, Frederich b. 1858 & Wilhelmina b. 1858 (twins)). Names of Johann and sons changed to John - Henry & William - when they became citizens 1860. They arrived in NY - settled in Beecher, IL. When Sophia d. 1874,he remarried to Anna Christiana Elizabeth Grothe nee Aherns b. 1804 Anna d. 1883 in Beecher, IL The family eventually ended up in Breckonridge, MN. / William married Caroline Maria Elizabeth (Hagen) /Henry married twice - Anna Dorthea (Hasemann). She died in childbirth (had son named Henry)1875. Remarried to Louise D. (Busse) whom he had hired to care for his son. Louise and Henry had 8 children (Fred - John - William - Edwin - Herman in 1877 - Emma - Gustav - Bertha) - (Herman was my Grandfather) Herman married Emma Augusta Engisch b. 1884 who was born in Prussia, Germany - came to American on a ship with her parents Ernst and Ernestina (Max) when she was age 3 (this was my Grandmother). Herman and Emma had 7 children (Alfred - Delilah - Pearl - Albert - Gladys - Arthur - Edna) Edna Esther Emma Wolter has my mother. She married Glen Barton whom she divorced (because of infidelity) - after her divorce she traveled out west with a friend where she met my father Charles Eugene Young and they married in 1940 in Washington state - they lived on Bainbridge Island, Bremerton and Port Orchard, Washington until I was 10 years old - then we moved to Seattle, Washington. My brother Eugene Raymond was born in 1942 (passed away from cancer in 1998) and I, Gladys LaVerne in 1944 - I was married To Wayne Walker McCutchen in 1966 lived in Seattle and So. California - we had 2 children (Rosemarie Catherine in 1972 - now married to Arnd Burges in 1998 and now lives in Germany and Thomas Orion in 1974 - who is attending Humboldt University in N. California)(both children joined the army and spent time abroad) Wayne and I divorced in 1979 - I remarried in 1983 to Ted Edward Darland and still live in So. California. I have been trying to trace the family tree in all directions for several years now and the project is not done but it's coming along. I mainly lack information about the Wolter family they came to America. If any of the above past information leads you to believe we might be related, feel free to contact me.
