Hi Nicole - are you by any chance related to Kay Martin from Texas.My aunt Gladys (Wolter) Graff suggested I get in touch with Kay because she had a lot of genealogy information.I can tell by the information you have given that we are related way back when.My line traces down from Johann Frederich Wolter's son, Heinrick your from Wilhem.

I have a friend, Betty Robinson who lives near Sacramento and she is also related through the Wilhelm Wolter and Caroline Storbeck.Betty has been to Germany several times trying to locate the Wolter records there.

Any information you could give me about relatives living now in Germany or exactly where the family lived or originated.I know there are probably people in Germany with the surnames of:Bachmann - Bauer - Engisch and Max that I would love to have some information about also.My daughter now lives in Germany, but down't know where to start looking.She is half German through myself and her father and as far as I know is the only one to have immigrated back to Germany.

I have also heard from an individual named Merry Keith who is related through the Storbeck line and I hope to get together with her and do some comparing of records at some point.She has indicated that Johann Friederich Wolter's wife was named "Sophie Charlotte Louise Eltze (The birth and death dates (1813-1874) for her are the same as you have indicated for her.
