John Wonson arrived from Scotland in 1716, settled in Sandy Bay.He married Honor Tarr, daughter of Richard Tarr who was an original Cape Ann settler arriving in 1690.
John and Honor produced four children -Elizabeth, John Joseph and Samuel.
Samuel married Natience Norwood in 1750 and they had five children - Samuel II, Patience, John, Oliver and Joseph.
Samual II Married Lois Gott in 1773 and they had nine children - Samual III, Lois, Charles, Patience, Lucy, John, George Lucy and Joseph.Then, Samuel II remarried Anna Chipman in 1793 and they had four children - Ann and Sally (twins) and Sally Millen and WIlliam.
Samuel III was the first keeper of the Eastern Point Light House.He married Lydia Rowe in 1792 and they had twelve children - Lydia, Samuel IV, Garriot, Joseph, John Fletcher, Fritz, Nathan, Addison, Plumer, Augustus, Frederick, Eliza, and Agustus.
John Fletcher Wonson married Ann Elizabeth Marble in 1824, and they had nine children - John II, Frederick, Roger, George Marble, Eliza, Annie, Hattie, Franklin, Allan Percy (who only lived two days).
George Marble Wonson married Frances BurnhamThe Burnhams were an old English family of nobility. John, Thomas and Roberd came to America in 1635 Frances was GGdaughter to John.George Marble Wonson and Frances were married in 1859.They had eleven children - Herman, Arthur, Carrie, Austin, Bray, Percy Franklin, Alice, Ausan, John, ralph, Grace, Guy.
Percy Franklin Wonson married Gertrude Mann in 1899.They had two duaghters, Gertrude Mann Wonson (never married) and Bernice Franklin Wonson (my grandmother).
Bernice Franklin Wonson married Richard Harris Wright in sometime around 1934.My mother was the only product of that marriage, Judith Harris Wright.
Judith Harris Wright married James Randolph Hodgin in 1956 and had four children,Greg, Brad, Jeff (me) and Kim.
