My interest in Woodford of ARW fame is my other Virginia kin were in some of his units. They were in NJ and NY battles. 1780 these men were assigned to Charleton SC andAmerican military problems caused most to be captured by British. The POWs were subjected to terrible conditions, in ships, weeks without fresh air, some in Fort St Ausustine also bad.As a result many died or invalids.
There are many pages of FootNote about Woodford. You need to look under rolls, pension and misc Hospital files.
Most would be about Gen Woolford, but maybe the Pvt too. These pages are original copies, so could load slow, there is water damage on some. You can spend alot of time on good reading. Price $60.00 a year for these NARA records is reasonable.
If anyone ever finds a list of POWs I would like to know.
