Juliana Barbara Moravian
As some Woodring descendants have suggested:The wife of Elias Lefever / Lefevre born 1743 who was a Mary Selome or Salome died March 1747 at age 49 (born 1748 or 1749) might be Mary Selome daughter of John Daniel Woltring. Thebook "the Pennsylvanian Lefevres" has on Jacob Lefever born MD in 1885 was raisewd by "uncle Major Baltzell in Maryland.Elias and family lived near Graceham Moravian. Son John married May 12, 1800 Catherine Martz born 1777 daughter of Jacob Georege? Martz. There are a number of Balsel candidates for "uncle" including Charles "Carl" Baltsel officer in the American Revolution, whose wife was Barbara born 1746 and died 1811.She might be a Wortring.
But one of several Baltzell seems to be better candidates. A baltzell married Juliana Wotring abt 1801 or 2.
Of interest my John Lefever above & a Mary Meddert were marrried to a Baltzell in the home of Jacob Meddert (most records there are Maddert or Madtert). His wife Anna Maria and on maternal side surname Alexin
I don't know how this Maddert figures in.Some records have Juliana married 1st to weller and then Henry Pelzel (probably Balsel).
Seems ther are some Balzell and wotring marriagesor those familises to relatives both in the Moravian & Lutheren churches, Frederick. The Lefevers seem to have come from Lancaster, PA (as some Wotrings did) to Frederick including Apple, Carpenter / Zimmerman, Kemp, Harmon, Ferree, etc. Fulton, Hedges & Crieder are involved somehow.
Offspring of Elias Lefever in 1806 in Huntingdon are in the same Lutheran church with Txoxel & Domer & Root & Bottenburger, so this Barbara w/o Bltzell and Mary Saleme w/o Lefever might be of another Wotring clan - the one that married Martz? Thanks
