Charles (Karl/Carl) Baltzell married a "Barbara" Supposedly born October 20, 1746 and died September 20, 1811. This
"Balsel" lived near the Graceham Moravian church, Frederick, County Maryland.Officer in "The German Batalion", MD Line.
He or his family may have been in that church, or recorded there.Those that were, seem to have been recorded as: Balsel, Peizel, Pietzel, Peitsel, Pitsell,
A Henry of that surname married Julianna (Wotring) Weller, a widow of Peter.A sister of Juliana, Mary Selome (Maria Salome) born 1748 or 1749 may have married an Elias Lefever or Lefevre, either in York or Lancaster mid 1760's. He owned land & lived 1 mile from Graceham.
Due to the use of two given names and the marriages of widows to widowers, and confusion about birthdate vs christening dates and the spelling of names - I wonder, since Barbara was a much used name by Wotrings, if you
Woodring and or Martz descendants can have this Barbara wife of Baltzel (a maiden Wotring or widow of Vautrun)?
