PANSY PEARL WOODRUFF
Mrs. Woodruff, 97 years old, of West Palm Beach, Fla., died Sunday, February 5, 1995 at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a resident of the Palm Beach area since 1907 and worked at the Palm Beach County Tax Collectors Office for 15 years until her retirement in 1980. Mrs. Woodruff was preceded in death by her son Charles H. Woodruff, Sr. and her husband Charles B. Woodruff.
She is survived by a granddaughter Charlene Sanders and her husband Jim, a great granddaughter Lisa Wedemeier and her husband John, a great grandson James Sanders, Jr. and his wife Rita and a great great granddaughter Lauren Weiss all of St. Louis, Mo. Additional survivors include a loving and devoted niece, Betty M. Bruce and two special caregivers, Otilee Pilcher and Jeanne Berkley all of West Palm Beach.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 1995 at QUATTLEBAUM-HOLLEMAN-BURSE FUNERAL HOME, 1201 South Olive Ave., West Palm Beach, Fla. with Rev. Don Smith of the First Baptist Church of Royal Palm Beach, Fla. Officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, West Palm Beach, Fla. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 8, 1995 from 10 until time of service.
The 1940 Census shows the family. Husband Charles was born circa 1898 in Florida and Pansy about 1898 in West Virginia. Their son Charles was born about 1918 in Florida, Hazel his wife was born about 1918 in Atlanta, GA, and the granddaughter Charlene mentioned in the obit was born in Florida about 1939.
