According to the book "Woodworth Family of America" by Jeanette (Woodworth) Behan, John Amasa (Amassa)is 7th generation descendant of Walter b. abt. 1612. JOHN AMASA, b. Enosburg 24 Dec. 1827 is the son of WILLIAM STEVENS 6 WOODWORTH, born Berkshire, Vermont, 30 March 1794 and died Enosburg, Vermont, 20 July 1866.William is descended from John 5 and Elizabeth (Amasa 4, Ebenezer 3, Benjamin 2, Walter 1);
