Woody,
I am amazed and pleased that in one hour the Ashton-Woodworth Virginia wedding location has been solved. This has been a family mystery for 3 generations.

My records show that Dolly Fitch was born in Salem, NY 12-14-1809 and died in White Creek
(Ash Grove) near Cambridge NY 12-18-1843.

C.V.K. and Dolly's daughter Harriet was born
according to my records in Fort Miller,NY(about 20 miles from Cambridge) in 7-26-1832 and died 8-5-1912.

Harriet married David G. Ashton and one of their sons was my grandfather Andrew Foster Ashton 8-24-1864 - 7-28-1946. Andrew's son was Lee and then me.

The name Van Kirk is in the Ashton geneology. It will take me a while to research this but I bet it ties in with Calvin Van Kirk Woodworth Sr.'s name. Will get back to you later on this.

If you have any questions on the above, please let me know.

Many thanks,

Roger L. Ashton
