Berwick Register
March 8, 1906
Obituary
Mrs. J.S. Woodworth
On March 2, 1906, departed this life, Eliza, relict of the late J.S.
Woodworth. Mrs. Woodworth, whose maiden name was Corbett, was born at
Centreville, Annapolis County, eighty-six years ago. She came to Berwick
as the bride of her late husband, in 1857 and has lived here ever since.
The deceased was a kind and dutiful mother; and her generous hospitality
will be recalled by many of the elderly people in this community as the
home of J.S. Woodworth and his wife was always open to visitors. Mr.
W.H. Woodworth is the only one of the family remaining, the two
daughters, Jennie and Maria, having died some years ago. The sympathy of
a wide circle of friends is extended to Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Woodworth and
their family in this, their sorrow.
