Re: James Bryant Wookey

My great-great grandmother, Mary Ann Wookey, was the daughter of George Wookey and Bridgett Maria Briant.I have seen Bridgett's middle name as both Maria and Marie and her last name as Briant and Bryant.

George and Bridgett were married in East Harptree on Sept. 11, 1817.Bridget was born in 1800 and George on March 5, 1788.I know of at least three children born to them, Charlotte b. 1830, William b. 1836. and Mary Ann b. 1819.Mary Ann married Edwin Smith and came to America in the early 1850's, settling first in Wisconsin and moving to Oregon in the 1880's.She died in Asotin, WA.

I imagine there were additional children but at this time I don't have their ages.
