WOOLIVER surname spelling/research group
I am the Editor of the Wohleben/Welliver Cousins International Research Group quarterly newsletter. This group has been in existance 13+ years. It is primarily a snail mail group of people researching their German ancestors around the world.
I know that my gggrandfather changed his surname spelling from WOOLIVER to present day WOLIVER. It was also spelled WOOLAVER, WOOLVER and a bunch of other ways (even within the same document). They came from the WOLLEBER/WOHLEBER German Palatine immigrants of 1709/1710, to NY.
If you'd like to learn more you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or join the rootsweb surname list covering these spellings. It is at WOHLEBEN-L@rootsweb.com and to subscribe send the word SUBSCRIBE in subject line to WOHLEBEN-Lemail@example.com
Hope to hear from you.
