Canadian Woplin's

Though we are not in Great Britain, we are (3) Woplin's in Canada. I agree, us Woplin's need to stick together, that is ingrained I think in our psyche. Anyway Jim, my father is also a James Woplin and he lives in Windsor, Ontario Canada. My brother and I Katherine Louise and David James Philip live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada. I search periodically for any Woplin's on the web, have had very minimal success, though I did locate a Woplin who is a student at (I believe) Oxford. Seems to be a few on this site, and I can't help but notice that most of the names start with 'J', Curious.

Anyway, my grandfather was Philip Woplin married to Florence Steele, both are deceased now, leaving only my immediate family to carry the torch. My father has a sister living in England (can't think where, of the top), her name is Ruth married to Del Foster.

Look forward to hearing from you, Dad is coming for a visit on June 29th, and I shall show him this site as he also has an interest in finding more of us.

P.S. Dad did manage to find some Woplinski's in America, and believes through his father that the name comes from Norway or Poland.
