Re: Eliza Ann Wordworth m. Valentine Brown in 1830..possibly Halfmoon NY
Her name is actually Eliza Ann WOODWORTH, my great-great-great-grandmother.She was born 31 Aug 1812 in Mayfield, N.Y., and died in 1908 in Burlington, Vermont.
In 1830 she married Rev. Valentine BROWN Jr., a Methodist minister, of Half Moon, Saratoga, N.Y. They had four children, Selah Woodworth, George Wesley, Aurelia, and Amelia.
Her parents were Selah WOODWORTH Jr., 7 Jul 1790-4 July 1825, and Orrilla TOBEY, 4 Jan 1793-Feb 1864.
When she was a child, her father was killed by an exploding cannon during a July 4 celebration. We have the original newspaper clipping.I also have copies of her husband's obituary, and several pages from a Brown family Bible from 1870 that show her and her relations. My mom's cousin actually has a photograph of her that I have been meaning to copy.
If you would like copies of these images and a GEDCOM of her ancestors and descendants, please reply.
