My Grandfather was Edward Lee Worrell (Eddie) and yes, he did move to Oklahoma (and maybe New Mexico for a while for Mollie) in order to hopefully relieve her asthma. Mollie remained single and Edward lost his first wife, Rachel, in childbirth in Chambers County.,ALA. He married Hattie Jones in Jefferson County, Oklahoma and was indeed in banking in the hamlets of Hastings and later Ryan, although he was trained as a pharmacist. They had two children, Edward Lee and Jones Danforth, my father.
My family has always used the name Danforth, rather than Danford, but as the records in Chambers County seem to have a bit of both, I will continue to use Danforth until proven otherwise.
Your bits of information, along with that of others, has allowed me to finally break through the barrier and past Edward Lee Worrell, Sr. If you have further information on the family past this generation, it would be helpful
