Hello Lynne
It was good to receive your message this afternoon.Your information filled in some gaps and details.
The Wrankmores had little imagination in naming their children!
My father was George Butler Norman.
His mother was Margaret Wrankmore.
Her father, my great grandfather was George Butler Wrankmore, born 1860 and married 1889 to Margaret Easton / Eastin in West Hartlepool.
His father was Charles Glyde Wrankmore who married Mary Sarah Brown in 1853 in St Albans. He was a painter and decorator. Family lore says he gilded the numbers on the face of Big Ben!!His address on the marriage certificate is given as Bermondsey.
His father was Charles Glyde Wrankmore who, according to his son's marriage certificate, was a "landing waiter".
This is as far back as I have certificates for.I have found some more information on familysearch which with your information helps confirm what we had been guessing at.
Looking forward to hearing from you again.
