The Franciscus-Antonius 'Anton' Arens (b. Feb 1803, Westphalia Germany) in my line came to the US in 1833 with brothers Alexander and Henry. Anton was married to Amalia Osterman/Easterman. We think'Anton' was the son of Joes-Theodori Arens and Marie-Sybill Ruther/Reuther (Not proven) . this bunch settled in St. Charles county, MO. (near St. Louis, MO)
I have a Maximilian Vrede/Wrede/Vrade married to Maria Catharina Freide (her last name is Illegible) they may have been married June 27 1816 inRoemisch-Katholische, Arnsberg Stadt, Westfalen, Preussen (Unverified)
Maximilian had daughter Christina Vrede B. March 1822 and son Anton Vrede birth date unknown. Christina died in St. Charles Co. Mo. Anton lived a few houses down from her. Christina Vrede married Joseph Watts b. Denmark and they had a daughter Christina Watts b. 1848 in St. Charles co. Mo. who married John Theodord 'Ted' Arens b. 1843 son of above Anton Arens.
I was in touch with Bob Arens from either Iowa or Mn several years ago, he is convinced we are all related, however I have not found the link. It doesn seem like my line has Arens/Vrede and so does your line. I think there must be a connection.
Christina Watts Arens and Ted named one of their daughers Theresia Arens. Theresia was my grandmother.
