MRS. AUGUST (MINNIE WILLIAMS) WREDE DECEMBER 2, 1943
Mrs. Minnie Wrede died Saturday (Nov.27) morning at the Longwood sanitarium in Chicago. She had been in poor health for several years and had been at the sanitarium since July of this year. The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Roberts Methodist church, the Rev. L.P. Bear, of Roberts, and the Rev. John Phillip of Paxton, officiating. Burial was in the Chatsworth cemetery. She was born June 13, 1877 at Chatsworth, the daughter of William and Antje Flessner Williams. She was married to John Voss January 9, 1900, who died Dec. 16, 1901. On October 11, 1909 she was married to August Wrede, who preceded her in death January 12, 1931. Surviving are the following children, Miss Alma, Mrs. F.H. Steinman and Raymond, all of Chicago; Mrs. Ruth McNeil, of Onarga; Mrs. Evelyn Bonjour, Savanna, and Donald, of Roberts; six grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters, Henry Williams and Miss Matie Williams, both of Chatsworth; Mrs. Fred Bork, Cullom; Mrs. Albert Grosenbach, Grinnell, Iowa, and Mrs. John Bruns, Longford, Kansas. She had lived in Roberts since her marriage, in recent years spending the summers with son, Donald, at Roberts, and the winters with her son, Raymond, in Chicago. She was a member of the Methodist church.
