David, if you are interested in researching your Wynne family name, there is a "ton" of informaion out there. You will just have to "dig in" in the library closest to you.According to Terry Baker, an experienced Wynne researcher, Captain Jesse Watkins Wynne lived in Rusk Co., TX and later died in Memphis TN 2 May 1907.His tombstone incorrectly says he was the s/o Devereau Wynne, who was really his guardian. Jesse was the son of Robert E. Wynne of Wilson Co. TNJesse most likely married Margaret Ross, his first cousin. They married in Holly Springs MS in 1869.She was the d/o Joel E. Wynne and Margaret Ross.Maybe this will give you a start but let your records begin with YOU, your father, your grandfather and on back. One can not skip generations until you have the required data. This is how I started some 55 years ago.Take advantage of all posted Wynne info but REMEMBER unless it is from an original record, it is not always correct.Deloris Wynne-Riley
