Della, I have to say that your Willis Yarbrough seems to be a spontaneous generation in that he just suddenly appears and just as quickly disappears.Do you perchance know the names of any of his children? Willis was a Mexican War soldier, enlisted 1 July 1846 at Washington, Arkansas. He received a bounty land warrant for this service and in 1851 assigned it to George Mitchell. Willis was also a civil war soldier and was wounded 25 Apr 1864 at the battle of Mark's Mill.He appears in the military records as both Willis and William Yarbrough/Yarborough/Yarber. There is a pension application that seems to indicate he died in 1884, but I am not positive of that death date. Glad to share what I have.Contact me at email@example.com if interested.
