I am not related to them, but I am trying to find out where in Austria your Prohaska family came from. Frank Prohaska's parents were John (c.1831-1913) and Anna (1833-1889) Prohaska of Bohemia, part of Austria at the time. After a lot of research, I am finding that just about every Austrian in Shannon township, Atchison county, Kansas, in the 1870's-1900's possibly came from around the village of Altwaldek, near the larger town of Zwittau. At least there are so many that definitely did, that it is the first place I'd look for the others.
Do you have any more info on Francis Leopold Prohaska or exactly where his family was from? Do you happen to have obits or death certificates for him or Dora?
By the way, some other Austrians in Atchison county had previously lived in Jefferson County, Wisconsin in the 1850's, so that might be where the Yelks were before Missouri.
