Correction:My grandfather, Capt. Leroy Yolton wasn't in the Korean war; That was much later.It was WWII, on the Island of Luzon, in the Philippines, about 1944,when he was shot . . . Either by a sniper (the offical version), when he wentout to pull in another guy who had been hit, OR by "friendly fire," (the version told to my grandmother by two soldiers who came to her home after the war.)Capt. Yolton may well have been out researching the flora and the fauna and upon returning to camp was shot by a young, overzealous sentry.
