YORKS, JORKSE, YURCKS, JERKSE, etc.
William Yorks and Elizabeth Allegar Yorks baptized several of their children in the Dutch Reformed Church in Readington, NJ. Starting in 1760, a Peter & Annathe(Annatje,Annate) Yorks,Yurksen,Yurcks, Jorkse, Yeorcksen baptized 5 children in the same church. (The surname spelling changed with each baptism).Does anyone have a clue to the possible connection of Peter and William?
