Hello, Dennis.You are so much farther in your search than I am, but I thought I'd respond directly to see if there is some connection.I'm stuck at Barbara ZAHND who was b. 8 DEC 1823 in Schwarzenburg, Canton Berne, Switzerland and d. 15 NOV 1904 in Durbin, North Dakota. She married Andreas PFEIFFER, possibly in Albany NY in 1847. They had seven children: Charles William (who married Mary Jane SAEMAN), Martin, Anna, Elizabeth "Libby", William, Andrew (who may have married "Adeline"), and an unnamed son.

Any chance there's a connection?
