Dear Marcello, I also descend from an Italian from Livorno, Tuscany, Italy, but his surname was ZANCHI (pronounced Zan-ki in Italian). His full name was Santiago Zanchi, son of Pedro Pablo and Maria Bianca ARMANDI.
I am wondering if Zanghi and Zanchi may be different versions of the same name. My Italian ancestor came to Puerto Rico in the middle of the 19th century.
