Dorothy S. Ziegler, nee Schuman (1919-2012) of Chicago, IL

Dorothy S. Ziegler, nee Schuman, age 92, of Wilmette, for 18 years and formerly of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 17, 2012. Beloved wife of the late John D. Ziegler; loving mother of Carol (James) Antell and Barbara Bowen: loving grandmother to Geoffrey, Molly, Gregory, John and Christopher; beloved aunt to Bruce (Wendy) Smith, David (Rosemary) Smith and Linda (John) Lundberg. Mrs. Ziegler was employed in the City Clerk's office of Elmhurst for over 20 years before retiring and moving to Wilmette to be closer to her family. She was born in Chicago on July 21, 1919, and was raised in Maywood, IL, the daughter of John and Louise Schuman; and sister of the late Eleanor Schuman Smith. A Memorial Service will be held this Saturday, March 10, 4 p.m. at the Winnetka Presbyterian Church, 1255 Willow Rd., Winnetka, IL.
