OBITUARY:
Lecompton - Graveside services for Evelyn Dines, 71, Lecompton, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lecompton. She was cremated.
Mrs. Dines died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Lakeview Manor in Lawrence.
She was born Aug. 21, 1930, in Appleton City, Mo., the daughter of Andrew and Ruth (Kenyon) Zink. She attended schools in Appleton City, Mo. She retired from Kansas University's Buildings and Grounds Department in 1991.
She married Elvin R. Dines on March 23, 1959, in Clinton, Mo. He died Dec. 30, 1990.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Hale, Lecompton, and Jim Dines and David Dines, Osceoloa, Mo.; three daughters, Delpha Kenney, Lecompton, Thelma Cook, Chanute, and Connie Coleman, Osceola, Mo.; a brother, Stanley Zink, Appleton City, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
