I know how you feel about tracing families who surname changes.I have one whose name changes with every legal document - AND NOT A ONE OF THEM MATCHES!!!
This is a part of a document by Frank Zintsmaster (another variation on the name).It is called "HISTORY OF THE ZINTSMASTER FAMILY" written in DECEMBER 1930.I am providing a part of it to see if any if the names and places match what you got (that is how I was able to find the family explained above).

***** HISTORY OF THE ZINTSMASTER FAMILY by Frank Zintsmaster *****
The oldest record of the knowledge of our family dates back to 1798 to Germany.Our family joined the Protestant Church generations ago.
First Generation
Jacob Zintsmaster was born in Bavarie, Germany in 1799.He died 1853 at the age of 54.His wife Pheba Zintsmaster was born in 1798 and died in 1885 at the age of 87.They are both buried in Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre, Ohio.
Second Generation
The following persons are sons and daughters of the first generation:
1. A daughter who was born in Germany.She died on board the ship at the age of 6 and was buried at sea.
2. Jacob Zintsmaster was born in Germany.He spent the rest of his life at Navarre, Ohio.
3. Nicholas Zintsmaster was born in Germany.He spent the rest of his life in Navarre, Ohio.
4. John Zintsmaster was born in Germany.He spent the rest of his life in Navarre, Ohio.
5. Phoebe Zintsmaster was born in Germany and died young.
6. Daniel Zintsmaster was born in 1844 near Navarre, Ohio.In 1858 John and Daniel left Stark County, Ohio, by covered wagon.They went west to Huntington County, Indiana.When the Civil War broke out Daniel enlisted in Company B of Slak's 47th Regiment and John served in the 75th Regiment in 1861.At this time, Daniel is still living in Indiana at the time.
7. Elizabeth Zintsmaster was born near Navarre, Ohio.She spent her entire life in Navarre and married George Gross.
