Notes for Lillian Edith Junkins:
Grandpa Junkins, was her father. After her divorce from Charles, when Bill was 5 years old, she moved back to her family.
Aunt "Frank" was Grandpa Junkins, second wife. His brother's name was Ike. The Junkins family lived variously in Baldwin, Springfield, Kansas City, Ottawa, Scranton, Carbondale etc.
Vida, was daughter of Walter Junkins and was Bill's aunt. Her husbands name was Frank (Milliken???). Walter also had a son named Lamar.
Grandpa Junkins is possibly buried in Baldwin or Lawrence, KS.
Charles Carpenter was known to be very cruel to Lillian, pulling her around by her beautiful hair. He was a compulsive gambler, which seemed to be a hobby, since no one seems to know what he did for a livelyhood. Since Lillian came from a well bred family, the combination of all this brought about the separation.
Lillian left her husband and traveled to Abilene, KS. Taking both sons with her. While she was working the children were boarded by day at an orphanage, also with relatives.
Lillian remarried to Fred Wallet. She died in St. Louis, MO.
