| Since starting research of my family, The Alexanders, in 2000, I have located my great-great grandfather, Hubbard, my great-grandfather,Esau,his two wives named Patsy, his children and a large number of their descendants. Since 2004 I have retrieved information about many family members who were not known to the family and actually discovered that some were not.It has been a journey for which there seems to be no end. It becomes an obsession to know every story and to reclaim each member.|
I have been fortunate to discover Esau and Patsy's children, grand children and great grand children. In traveling accross the country and meeting many relatives common bonds of kinship become apparent in many amazing ways. From East Texas to Kansas, to Ohio, Okalahoma, and California, Alexanders are giving, kind, determined, hardworkers who place a premium on education and self-sufficency.
I have a new respect for those who came before, the many challenges they faced as African Americans, and because of them--I am here.
I hope that other members who view our family tree will learn, grow, and respect this wonderful legacy and heritage that the Alexanders before us have provided.
Please connect to this truly amazing story from 1822 to 2011.
