Welcome to the Anez Genealogy site.
The family name original was AGNES and our ancestors came from the Channel Islands.The spelling changed to ANEZ when George ANEZ settled on the south coast of the Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec, in the 1830's.After 1871 George's widow and several of his children moved to the United States, settling originally in Minnesota and Wisconsin, while others remained in eastern Canada.
The maternal branches include the Day, McGoldrick, Kuth and Busch families.
