| My ASKEW family research has taken me back to the 1780's. To date they have appeared from around the Suffolk area of the UK, there is also an Essex connection. Thomas ASKEW married Elizabeth BARKER at Little Bentley Essex March 5th 1830.They had several children with dates of birth ranging from 1831 through to 1854, there were 9 children. Charles a son was born c1838 Great Bentley Essex he married Lucy LAY 1860 and they had 11 children with their dates of birth ranging from 1860 through to 1884. One of their sons Albert was born 1865 in Ipswich Suffolk UK and he married Amelia GARNHAM 1888. Their children numbered 6 and Charles Alfred was born 1903, he was my Grandfather. Other family names are Boldero,Brewer,BRUNDELL,BUTTON,CASTEN, CLARK,CRACKNELL,CRANE,DANCE,FOAD,GARNHAM,GILL,GILLY,HADGRAFT,HART,HARVEY,HOWLETT,MARKHAM,MARSHALL,MOON,MUDD,NEWMAN,SHILLING,SWAN and WHITE. Most of the above have Suffolk connections. | |
