"Henry Barnhard was a corporal in Co. D, 116 OVI enrolled at Antioch on Aug 18, 1862 and mustered in as a Corporal 18 Sept. 1862 at Gallipolis, Ohio. He died at the Cumberland Hospital in Md. Dec. 22, 1862. In her application for a pension Delilah gives two different dates for her marriage, i.e. Nov 18 and Nov 20, 1845. She listed her minor children as: Susan, born Sept. 4, 1851; Catherine - b. June 12, 1853; William - b. June 12, 1857; Elizabeth - b. June 5, 1859; James - b. Dec. 5, 1860; Henry, b. Apr. 4, 1863. ... Delilah's certificate was No. 14,065. On Mar. 13, 1896, the postmaster at Antioch reported to the Pension Agency that the pensioner had died"
