| Greetings! I have been researching Delevan De Lance, who is first found in Surry, Cheshire New Hampshire in 1769 when he married Hepzibah Delance, daughter of John Marvin, a descendant of John and Priscilla Alden. He served in the Revolutionary War as a Sergeant in Col Samuel Ashley's NH Regiment. Delevan was residing in Surry, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire at the time of the first US Census in 1790. The family moved to Essex County New York about 1796-1799. Delevan died on 25 November 1811 in Willsborough, Essex Co., New York. | |
