* Jacob Jr. gave the land to his eldest son John through his Last Will and Testament.
* Last Will & Testament, #253, Estate #2460, reads as follows with spelling and terms as best read:"Memorandum, that on or about the twenty sixth day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty five, Jacob Keller of Potter Township, Centre County being sick of the sickness whereof he died and on about the twelfth of September following did at this dwelling house in said Township make and declare his last will and testament ... in these or the like following, John Keller my son is to have one hundred seventy five acres of land in the and of the place he now lives on for which he is to pay five thousand dollars for by paying to Thomas Huston six hundred twenty five dollars yearly, first payment to be made May 1, 1836.John is to have the land agreeably to a division line run by Oliver Kerr, the remainder of the land to remain in the hands of my wife as long as she lives, after her death the land to be sold and the money divided equally among all my children.These words or to the like effort the said deceased declared in the presence of the witnesses whose names are hereunto subscribed, with an intention that the same should stand for and be his last will and testament and he the said Jacob Keller be the witnesses on some of them bear witness thereunto. *Centre County - "Before me Samuel Pettit, Deputy Registre for the probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for Centre County personally appeared Daniel Dobbins, John Keller, son and James Potter subscribing witness to the foregoing instrument of writing who being duly sworn according to law saith that they were personally present with Jacob Keller now deceased at his dwelling house in Potter Township and during his last ... and sickness that in the presence and hearing of the said Daniel Dobbins, John Keller, son, and James Potter the deceased Jacob Keller did pronounce the words to the ... and meaning of the foregoing and called them to witness such as his Last Will, that at the same time the said Jacob Keller was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding and further saith not." Sworn and Subscribed the 17th day of Oct 1835 before Samuel Pettit.Witnesses Daniel Dobbins, John Keller and James Potter.
