| I am currently working on the following family trees:Colling, Roesener, Bright, Rumple, Bauer, Strange.I am finding new information daily.I will soon have pictures to add. Colling is my maternal grandmother's madian name. The Colling family has had a lot of research done on it by many people. I have lived in Germany twice and was able to visit Ludweiler, Germany where some of the Colling families moved to from France in 1592. While working in Germany I met Mr. Renolette. After much research we traced our families back to where a "Colling" and a "Renolette" were married. This took us to his Grandmother who was still living in Ludweiler across the street from the church our families had started back in the 1600's. I have a book from this church that has very detailed family histories on many, many families and generations (including the Colling (Coling. Collin, etc) families. The book includes births, deaths, marriages, where families came from and where they moved. (The book is written in German.) Don Coling's family tree contains Coling (Colling) family information.Don's second Great Grandfather Phillip Martin Colling and my 2nd Great Grandfather Peter Colling were brothers, sons of Georg Colling and Katherine Roller.Phillip changed the spelling of his family name to Coling sometime after arriving in America. | My Family Ancestors and Decsendents Updated February 16, 2008 |
