Thomas Howland (b. Abt. 1790, d. Aft. 1850)
Notes for Thomas Howland:I do not have any primary source saying that Thomas' father was Michael Howland, but the evidence strongly suggests it.It is clear that he is associated with the family and he is undoubtedly the grandson of James Howland and Deborah Cook.More research is needed.
National Archives 1830 census information states that that Thomas was between age 30 and 39 at the time the census was taken.His wife was between age 40 and 49.There was one female between the ages of 10 and 19; 2 male children between the age of 0 and 5; and, 2 male children bewteeen the ages of 5 and 10.
The 1850 Census provides much more specific detail about him and some of the Children.
He is also listed in the NJ Tax Lists until 1850:
