We are the family and descendants of Charles Benbow, who was born near Trefeglwys, Montgomeryshire, Wales, in 1704.He immigrated to America in 1718 with his brothers Gershom Benbow and Richard Benbow, and he died in Bladen County, North Carolina, about 1774.Charles was the sixth child and fifth son of Richard and Susanna Jones Benbow.
Branches of this family can be found all over the United States.If you already know that you are a part of our branch of the Benbow family tree, we welcome you, and we would love to hear from you!Our annual reunion is usually held on the second Sunday in June, in or near Guilford County, North Carolina.We welcome all Benbow descendants, whether they are from the families of Charles or Gershon, or other more-distant cousins.
