Paul H. Bond's " Bond and Hallam Ancestry"

It started as a just a desire to know what country our family originated. The Bond lineage took me back to John and Susannah Bond who where born around the mid 1750's era from Halifax Virginia. There the history of Bond heritage stops or begins becauce I could'nt find a trace of John Bond's parents.I feel sure they probably immigrated from the United Kingdom or Ireland. Then there was that notion that our family descended from Shadrach Bond the First Govenor of Illinois. I could find no direct line of ancestry unless it is before our 1700's John Bond who married Susannah Wade. The Hallam side of the family was more telling. The original "Colossal Ship" manifest from 1836 shows where our family came from, "Brassington, Derbyshire England and where they were going,"Grayville Illinois". There are more family history/ancestry waiting to be revealed,and some mistakes to be corrected. That's what makes genealogy so much fun and interesting.
