Allison Kennedy was fatally burned on Saturday Morning April 15th, 1923, He was employed as an engineer at the Great Northern Lumber co, in Leavenworth, Wa. and had gone into the combustion chamber behind the firebox and was either overcome by the heat or fainted, and while he was badly burned and in the hospital, he survived 5 more days, and died on April 20, 1923. He will join his wife Jessie Belle in Great blue sky. He left 3 children, Avis, wife of Wilbur Moore, Vere of Forks, Wa., and Ardis of Missouri. |

B. Kennedy, aged 54, died at his home at 700 East Seventh, this morning, about 10:30 o'clock of complication of diseases.Mr. Kennedy had been in poor health for some time but during his last illness had only been confined to his bed a little over a week.He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mr. E. F. Mitchell, of Fort Madison, Iowa, and Helen, who is at the home, here, and five sons, Earl of La Harpe, Kansas; Ora of Clovis, New Mexico and Carl, Ray and Ivell of this city.Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Salem Evangelical Church and interment will be in the Greenwood cemetery. |
