John Arthur Bussear (b. July 26, 1904, d. June 21, 1955)
Notes for John Arthur Bussear:
They firstcame to Chehalis, Washington from Nebraska. After living there a couple of years, they moved to Elgin, Oregon. The group included John Bussearand wife Belle Galloway & her parents,John and Belle's two sons, ArthurBussear & wife Nora Merritt, and her parents,William Tell Bussear and wife May Beal, daughter Beatrice (my Grandmother) and son John Bussear, born in Washington state. alsoBenjamin Bussear (John's brother).
William Tell was a boilermaker working for the railroad. In 1917, he was went to work at the Puget Sound NavyShipyard in Bremerton, Washington. He is buried in Elkton, Oregon along with his first Wife and Daughter. The others are buried in Elgin, Oregon.

Also after looking at the journal and dates, I was mistaken about when they came west, it was lots earlier than I thought, I found some of the info on them from a "Galloway site"
Johns wife's parents were William & Sarah Galloway, and the other family was William and Nancy Merritt.
They came to Washington in 1873 and then moved to Eastern Oregon in 1878. I have no idea what they did or why they came to Washington,I knowWilliam Galloway had owned a shoe store in Spencer Indiana, then co owned a drug store in Elgin Oregon.
The Cecil you wrote about was Benjamin's son.
William Tell Bussear traded some land he owned in Elgin for 80 acres in Elkton, Oregon abt. 1914ish.My Grandmother Beatrice Bussear married Leslie Hancock in 1916.
